Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 13818-7:1997, which provides a specification for an audio standard for five full-bandwidth channel audio signals at data/rates of 320 kb/s. This specification is not backward compatible with the specification in AS/NZS 13818.3 (MPEG-2). Copies of ISO/IEC 13818-7:1997 can be purchased from or viewed at Standards Australia head office or at Standards New Zealand. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
