Proposes drying quality classes for timber dried in kilns or by other means where the result is a population that has been treated in a similar fashion. The classification describes a range of moisture content within which 90 percent of the boards must lie. Other drying quality criteria such as checking, collapse and distortion are detailed in an informative appendix.
