Defines the stage two of the Call Waiting (CW) supplementary service for the pan-European Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) as given by European public telecommunications operators. Does not formally describe relationship between the basic call and the supplementary service, but the information is included for guidance (where possible). Defines which functional entities may be allocated to a private ISDN, but it does not specify the requirements for the allocation of defined functional entities within a private ISDN. Does not specify the additional requirements where the user receives the service via a telecommunications network that is not an ISDN.
