Provides Bellcore's preliminary view of proposed generic criteria for Multipoint Videoconferencing Control Units (MCUs). MCUs are multipoint devices which provide audio, video, and data bridging capabilities to users. The MCU consists of a reservation system and a conferencing system. This document also discusses operations, billing, reliability, and spatial/environmental criteria as they relate to the MCU.
