Establishes Telcordia's view on generic hardware reliability and field reliability performance requirements that are appropriate for most Digital Cross-Connect Systems (DCSs) network applications. It is Telcordia's belief that the requirements defined in this document meet the needs of the customer for high availability services, customer configurable networks, and network restoration management. Future applications may place even higher demands on DCS reliability than the generic requirements established in this document.
