TERMINATING INWARD SERVICES

Defines services carried out by an operator or an operator services system in the terminating area at the request of an originating operator who needs assistance in handling a call or a verification function. Terminating Inward Services are provided for emergency assistance, directory assistance, call completion assistance, busy line verification and operator interrupt, and calling card verification. If the request for service cannot be handled automatically, an operator establishes voice contact with the remote operator to determine what assistance is required.
