Establishes the technical requirements for a body-worn, 9-volt D.C. battery-powered, portable intercom to be used with, and form part of, a Chemical, Biological, Radiological (CBR) protective assembly.

This specification establishes the technical requirements for a body-worn, 9-volt D.C. battery-powered, portable intercom to be used with, and form part of, a Chemical, Biological, Radiological (CBR) protective assembly (see figure 1). The intercom described in this specification is designed for use with current and future military airborne communication systems.
