This specification establishes, unless otherwise specified, the minimum requirements for engineering acceptance for the operation, performance, and reliability of Exterior Lighting Devices, for military vehicles, with Light Emitting Diodes (LED) as the base of their technology for illumination and compliance with applicable SAE, United States FMVSS, Canadian CMVSS, STANAG, MIL Standards and Military Performance Specifications.
