Deze norm beschrijft een methode voor de fotometrische bepaling van het gehalte aan arseen tot 0,05 % (m/m) en is van toepassing bij het chemisch onderzoek van ijzer en niet-gelegeerd staal. De detectiegrens is ca. 0,0003 % (m/m) arseen. De bepaling wordt niet gestoord door de normaal in ijzer en niet-gelegeerd staal voorkomende elementen.
