A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.
Defines the requirements and type testing which can be applied, for those aspects which are common to all such equipment, to shipborne radio equipment forming part of the global maritime distress and safety system, and electronic navigational aids required to be carried out on board ships and to other navigational aids, where appropriate.
