Deze norm beschrijft een aantal eisen ten aanzien van ontwerp, constructie en capaciteit van melkkoeltanks voor boerderijen en de daarop betrekking hebbende beproevingsmethoden. De norm is van toepassing op melkkoeltanks met automatische regeling, die bedoeld zijn om te worden geplaatst, hetzij in vaste opstelling hetzij verrijdbaar, op boerderijen of op verzamelstations voor rauwe melk.
