Le présent document fixe les spécifications applicables aux adaptateurs et aux manchettes ajustables à brides pour équipements sous pression, avec joint compressé, utilisés dans les tuyauteries et notamment: les caractéristiques dimensionnelles et fonctionnelles; les essais destinés à vérifier ces caractéristiques; le marquage et les conditions de livraison. Le présent document s'applique aux adaptateurs et aux manchettes ajustables de PN 2,5 à PN 40 et de Class 150 et Class 300, de dimensions nominales DN 50 à DN 2000. Il donne par ailleurs en Annexes A et B les principaux éléments à faire figurer dans un appel d'offres ou une commande, ainsi que les critères de choix et les conditions de mise en oeuvre des adaptateurs et manchettes.
