Diese Europäische Norm beinhaltet Koordinationsmasse für Küchenmöbel (im folgenden kurz 'Möbel' genannt), für Arbeitsplatten, für Küchengeräte (im folgenden kurz 'Geräte' genannt), für Spülen sowie für Dekorplatten. Sie legt Masse für Höhen, Breiten, Tiefen und Abstände so fest, dass Möbel, Geräte, Spülen und Dekorplatten als Elemente einer Kücheneinrichtung zueinander passen. Die Europäische Norm gilt nicht für gewerbliche Grossküchen.
