Diese Norm legt, zusätzlich zu den in Teil 1 genannten, Anforderungen an die Erstprüfung für maschinell sortiertes Bauholz mit rechteckigem Querschnitt für tragende Zwecke fest, welches durch Sägen, Hobeln oder andere Produktionsverfahren hergestellt wurde, und dessen Massabweichungen den Soll-Massen nach EN 336 entsprechen oder geringer sind. Darin eingeschlossen sind Anforderungen an Maschinen, die nach Festigkeit sortieren und Prüfeinrichtungen für die Prüfung von Material, das durch Prüfbelastung sortiert wurde, und Sonderanforderungen an Referenzbohlen zur Prüfung des dynamischen Leistungsvermögens von Sortiermaschinen.
