Dieser europäische Norm gibt eine Anleitung und, falls zutreffend, definiert Verfahren für Änderungen von bestimmten Parametern und Faktoren, die mit dem Entwurf von feuerwiderstandsfähigen Bauteilen in Verbindung stehen. Diese feuerwiderstandsfähigen Bauteilen wurden nach EN 1364-1 zusammen mit EN 1363-1 und EN 1363-2 geprüft und nach EN 13501-2 klassifiziert. Diese Norm bezieht sich auf vertikal eingebaute feuerwiderstandsfähige Bauteile. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Abschlüsse und zu öffnende Fenster. Bausätze aus Glassteinen und Pflastersteinen sowie Profilbaugläser nach EN 1051 und EN 572-7 fallen nicht unter diesen Anwendungsbereich. Gegenwärtig liegen hierzu nicht hinreichende Informationen vor, um Regeln für den erweiterten Anwendungsbereich für diese Produkte zu erstellen.
