Diese Internationale Norm legt die Prüfverfahren und empfohlenen Werkzeuge fest, die für die Prüfung an Widerstandspunkt- und Buckelschweissungen im Schäl- und Meisselversuch verwendet werden sollen. Sie gilt für Schweissungen an zwei oder mehr Blechen im Dickenbereich von 0,5 bis 3,0 mm. Das Ziel dieser Prüfungen ist die Bestimmung von Punktdurchmesser und Bruchart, sofern die Prüfung zerstörend durchgeführt wird, oder Bestätigung der Schweissqualität wenn die Prüfung als zerstörungsfreie Prüfung durchgeführt wird.
