Dieser Teil der Norm legt Anforderungen für Strahlmittel aus Kupferhüttenschlacke fest. Er legt Bereiche für die Korngrösse und Grenzwerte für scheinbare Dichte, Härte, Feuchtegehalt, Leitfähigkeit des wässrigen Eluates (wasserlösliche Verunreinigungen) und wasserlösliche Chloride fest. Die in diesem Teil der Norm festgelegten Anforderungen gelten nur für im "Neuzustand" gelieferte, unbenutzte Strahlmittel. Sie gelten nicht für Strahlmittel während oder nach der Verwendung. Prüfverfahren für nichtmetallische Strahlmittel sind in den verschiedenen Teilen von ISO 11127 enthalten. Eine Übersicht über nationale Normen für nichtmetallische Strahlmittel wird im Anhang A gegeben.
