Diese Norm beschreibt ein gravimetrisches Bestimmungsverfahren für Platin in Platin-Schmucklegierungen, vorzugsweise im Bereich der Feingehalte, die in ISO 9202 festgelegt sind. Diese Legierungen können Iridium, Palladium, Rhodium, Kupfer, Kobalt und weniger als 5 % Wolfram, Gold, Ruthenium, Gallium, Chrom und Indium enthalten. Es werden Verfahrensänderungen angegeben für den Fall, dass Palladium, Iridium, Gold, Ruthenium oder Rhodium enthalten sind.
