Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM beinhaltet ein einheitliches und wiederholbares Verfahren der Bestätigung zur Verfügung, dass Temperaturprüfkammern den Anforderungen entsprechen, die für Klimaprüfverfahren die in den Teilen 2-1 und 2-2 dieser Normengruppe festgelegt sind, wobei sich in den Prüfkammern entweder wärmeabgebendes oder nicht wärmeabgebendes Prüfgut befindet und eine erzwungene Luftumwälzung im Nutzraum zu berücksichtigen ist. Sie ist auch für Anwender vorgesehen, die regelmässig das Leistungsvermögen von Prüfkammern überwachen.
