Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM behandelt die Sicherheit elektrisch betriebener gewerblicher Spülbecken, die nicht für den Hausgebrauch bestimmt sind, deren Bemessungsspannung nicht mehr als 250 Volt für Einphasengeräte, betrieben zwischen einem Aussenleiter und dem Neutralleiter, und 480 Volt für andere Geräte beträgt. Diese Norm gilt auch für den elektrischen Teil von Geräten, die mit anderen Energiearten betrieben werden. Soweit anwendbar, behandelt diese Norm die Gefahren, die üblicherweise durch diese Geräteart hervorgerufen werden.
