Dieser Teil von ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 60645 legt ein Verfahren zur Beschreibung der physikalischen Eigenschaften von audiometrischen Bezugs- und Prüfsignalen kurzer Dauer und Verfahren für ihre Messung fest. Zweck dieser Norm ist es sicherzustellen, dass audiometrische Kurzzeit-Stimuli in gleicher Weise beschrieben und gemessen und dass die Kalibrierung von Geräten, welche solche Signale verwenden, mittels definierter Verfahren vorgenommen werden. Diese Norm beschreibt kein Verfahren zur Anwendung von Kurzzeit-Prüfsignalen.
