Dieser Teil der ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 61010 gilt nur für elektrisch betriebene Laborgeräte für die Erwärmung von Stoffen, bei denen die Erwärmung von Stoffen die einzige oder eine von mehreren Funktionen des Gerätes ist. Wenn das ganze oder ein Teil des Gerätes in den Anwendungsbereich sowohl dieser Norm als auch in den Anwendungsbereich eines anderen Teils 2 oder von mehreren anderen Teilen 2 der Normenreihe fällt, ist es auch erforderlich, die Anforderungen dieser anderen Teil- 2-Normen zu erfüllen. Wenn es In-Vitro-Diagnostik- Zwecken dient, ist es auch erforderlich, die Anforderungen der IEC 61010-2-101 zu erfüllen.
