Defines the measurement and numerical modelling requirements for testing compliance of mobile telecommunication equipment (MTE) in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 6GHz with the basic restrictions in terms of SAR. Not applicable to the electromagnetic fields on implants, such as cardiac pacemakers. Applicable to persons with metallic implants in the area of the brain or ear (i.e. metal plates or clamps). Covering a fairly wide interpretation of the word "mobile" the material herein concentrates solely on hand-held and other portable wireless MTE.
