Covers an aluminium alloy in the form of bars, wire, and rods. Mainly for parts needing forming and as stock for flash welded rings which are to be subsequently solution and precipitation heat treated. Certain processing and design procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking after solution and precipitation heat treatment.
