Covers one type of nonmelting, heat stable silicone compound to be used in high tension electrical connections, ignition systems and electronics equipment; applies to unpainted mating threaded or non-threaded surfaces, and as a lubricant for components fabricated from rubber. Compound is effective in temperatures from -54 degrees C (-65 degrees F) to +204 degrees C (+400 degrees F) for extended periods and to 260 degrees C (500 degrees F) for short periods. Compound is identified by the NATO symbol S-736.
