A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Applicable to operator-controlled machines as covered in ISO 3471, and to following off-road work machines of mass in excess of 700 kg, commonly used in earthmoving, construction, logging and mining applications as in SAE J 1116, and designed for an on-board, seated operator.
