This part of SANS 10242 establishes general principles for the rewinding and refurbishing of low-voltage three-phase alternating current induction motors of the cage and wound rotor (slip-ring) types, with rated output not exceeding 1000 kW, for rated voltages not exceeding 1 100 V between phases, at a service frequency of 50 Hz including motors intended for variable speed applications.
