Gives advice on the practical measurement of the acoustic output of various types of medical ultrasonic equipment in the 0,5 MHz to 15 MHz frequency range based on the use of hydrophones. Also gives procedures for correcting for limitations caused by the use of hydrophones with finite bandwidth and active element size.
