Purpose of this NATO standardization agreement (STANAG) is to respond to the following interoperability requirements: - In the naval operational domain, to establish procedures for the measurement and reporting of acoustic signature information and establish acoustic signature goals to counter the naval sea mine threat to Allied and National Commands.
