Purpose of this agreement is to respond to the following interoperability requirements: - The proposed document will enhance interoperability for environmental protection functions on a NATO led operation. - This standard could allow NATO to operate effectively both together with forces of partner nations and other non-NATO nations after adoption of the standard. - The harmonization of the environmental protection standards and best practices on a NATO camp will facilitate the management of NATO camps.
