Defines Bellcore's view of proposed generic functional requirements for optical cable ductliners. Ductliners are small diameter semiflexible subducts that are installed in existing underground conduit systems to provide, clean, continuous, watertight, low-friction paths for placing optical cables that have low pulling tension limits. Also included are the basic requirements, desired features, characteristics, and performance tests to compare a product against the stated requirements.
