Stabilisce le dimensioni degli inserti di metallo duro (carburo) con raggio di punta senza foro di fissaggio ed angoli di spoglia normale rispettivamente di 0 gradi e 11 gradi. Questi inserti vengono montati principalmente su utensili per tornitura ed alesatura con fissaggio mediante staffa superiore.
