Diese Norm legt das Prüfverfahren für Kabel und Leitungen fest, die konstruktionsbedingt gegen Feuer beständig sind und für die Verwendung in Notstromkreisen vorgesehen sind. Sie gilt für Energie- und Steuerkabel und Leitungen für Notstromkreise mit einer Nennspannung bis 0,6/1 kV. Das Prüfverfahren gilt für Kabel und Leitungen mit Aussenmassen > 20 mm. Kabel und Leitungen mit kleineren Aussenmassen müssen nach EN 50200 geprüft werden.
