Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen und Prüfungen für manuell aktivierte Auslösegeräte fest, die Teile einer Personen-Hilferufanlage sind. Diese Norm bezieht sich nur auf manuell aktivierte Auslösegeräte, die das Alarmauslösesignal an eine Örtliche Zentrale oder ein Übertragungsgerät drahtgebunden oder drahtlos mittels Funkübertragung übermittelt, d. h. a) ortsfest ausgeführter Druckknopf; b) ortsfest ausgeführter Zugschalter; c) tragbar ausgeführter Druckknopf; d) tragbar ausgeführter Zugschalter. Diese Norm gibt auch Hinweise auf automatisch aktivierte Auslösegeräte. Für auf solche Auslösegeräte anwendbaren Anforderungen und Prüfungen sind Verweise auf die einschlägigen CEN/CENELEC-Normen für Geräte für Brandmeldeanlagen, Gaswarn- und Einbruchmeldeanlagen gegeben. Diese Norm legt keine Anforderungen an EMV- Störungsaussendungen/Störstrahlung oder die elektrische Sicherheit fest. Diese sind durch andere Normen abgedeckt.
