A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Le présent document définit une Spécification de technologie implémentable (ITS) pour XML destinée à être utilisée dans la communication des informations liées à la santé et à d'autres fins dans le domaine de l'informatique de santé, à l'aide des spécifications du CEN relatives aux types de données, aux GPIC et aux messages. Les recommandations présentes dans chacun de ces trois domaines sont abordées séparément, de façon que l'ITS puisse avoir un domaine d'application plus large que celui de la spécification relative aux messages qui supporte d'autres contextes d'utilisation des GPIC et des types de données CEN.
