Abstract

Specifies cooperative measures for the mitigation of noise induced into paired cable telecommunications lines from unbalanced HV power lines, particularly single-wire earth-return (SWER), multiple earthed neutral (MEN), single-phase and two-phase (120°) lines. Sections cover engineering principles of interference generation, maximum values and mitigation measures; responsibilities for system separation and correction of interference; and procedures for new installations.
