International Civil Aviation Organization

Creating and modernizing SARPs is the responsibility of the International Civil Aviation Organization, or ICAO, the specialized agency of the United Nations whose mandate is to ensure the safe, efficient and orderly evolution of international civil aviation. ICAO provides the forum whereby requirements and procedures in need of standardization may be introduced, studied and resolved.
