DEFSTAN do not issue this standard, they say use DEFSTAN 05-28 Defence standard 05 28 NATO guide to the preparation of specifications for the procurement of defence material is to be used until as and when AQAP 8 edition 2 has been published. DEFSTAN 05 28 provides guidance on specification, scope, purpose, types, rules, main types, presentation, list of subjects, title, contents, introduction, requirements, delivery, definitions, etc.
