This Specification applies to all carbon steel castings classified as Grades A and B. The grade shall be specified in the order or inquiry.

ProductNote	1925 edition bound together with AS E6. In the preparation of AS 2074-1977 some grades were modified and/or. added to provide for those steel castings used in industry, in. particular, for railway applications. During the course of the. revision, all railway systems in Australia were consulted regarding. their requirements, with a view to covering those steel castings. currently included in AS E7, and as a result E7 was withdrawn.
