Specifies essential electrical safety requirements for cord-line switches for approval and test purposes. It is to be read in conjunction with AS/NZS 3100.

This Standard applies to cord-line switches for use at voltages not exceeding 250 V to earth. It does not apply to switches such as pendant switches or bell pushes or switches connected at the end of flexible cords.
