Gives a method of test for measuring the specular gloss of plastics specimens for glossmeter geometries of 60 Degrees, 20 Degrees and 85 Degrees. Covers definitions, principle, apparatus, reference standards, test specimens, procedure, test report and precision.

This British Standard describes a method of test for measuring, relative to a standard surface, the specular gloss of plastics specimens for glossmeter geometries of 60°, 20° and 85°.

NOTE Appendix A indicates the precision likely to be obtained from the test.
