This British Standard relates to the dimensions of take-off and take-up precision grade spindles for 16 mm cinematograph equipment and telecine machines. It is related to the dimensions for film spools specified in BS 5550-2.9.1, BS 5550-2.9.2 and BS 5550-2.9.3.
