Performance requirements for projectors both for normal picture projection and in telecine operation. Does not apply to film mechanisms specifically designed for telecine operation.

This British Standard specifies requirements for 16 mm sound-film projectors both for normal picture projection and in telecine channels. This standard does not apply to film mechanisms specifically designed for telecine operation.

It specifies requirements intended to ensure a satisfactory picture and sound performance, safety and film life. It does not deal with the details of the mechanical and electrical design and construction of projectors except in so far as such details may affect performance, safety or convenience in use.
