Gives the requirements for design and construction of electrically operated 'pay and display' parking equipment. It covers equipment designed to accept coins, tokens or devices and to print and issue tickets or receipts for display from inside vehicles to indicate a period of paid parking. It does not include requirements for corrosion resistance or vandal resistance, but may be linked to, and operated in conjunction with, rising arm or rising kerb barrier systems in accordance with BS 6571 : Part 4 which also includes requirements for 'pay on foot' systems.
