Die Druckgasflaschen werden für den Transport, die Lagerung und die Bereitstellung von verdichteter Druckluft für medizinische Zwecke verwendet. Die Druckgasflaschen fallen nach den verkehrsrechtlichen Beförderungsbestimmungen unter den Begriff der "Gefässe". Im weiteren Text wird als Arbeitsbegriff "Druckgasflasche" verwendet.
