This standard is included in DIN Handbook 14. Applies to spindle noses that are chiefly used in conjunction with boring, milling and combined boring and miling machines with manual tool change and are used to accomodate taper shanks, e.g. of tools, as specified in DIN 2080 Part 1 and 2 and in DIN 69 871 Parts 1 and 2, as well as to accomodate tools centred on the spindle nose outside diameter (d2), Specifies dimensions of the interface between tool shank and the spindle nose, as well as those of the associated tenons.
