Diese Norm ist anzuwenden für die Anordnung und Grösse der Deckelstutzen (Stutzenanordnung K) von Rührbehältern aus Stahlemailliert, Form CE mit 40001 Nennvolumen und einem Nenndurchmesser d[1] = 1800 mm nach DIN 28136 Teil 1, die als Ersatz in bestehende Anlagen eingebaut werden müssen. Da die Stutzenanordnung nach dieser Norm nur mit einer Befähröffnung 350 mm x 450 mm ausgestattet ist, muss bei Rührbehältern mit dieser Stutzenanordnung im Anwendungsbereich der Gefahrstoffverordnung in Erfüllung von Kapitel 17 (1) GefStoffV und Anhang IV Abschnitt 1.2.1.3 GefStoffV die Montageöffnung als Zugangsöffnung benutzt werden. Diese Norm gilt nicht für Stutzenanordnungen von Rührbehältern für Neuanlagen, hierfür siehe DIN 28136 Teil 3.
