Determines radionuclides by means of gamma-ray spectrometry used both in emission monitoring and pollution control [2]. It permits the level of exposure to which humans have been exposed to be established on the basis of the activity concentrations of individual radionuclides, and thus maintenance of the dose limits stipulated in the Strahlen-schutzverordnung (German Radiation Protection Regulation) to be checked [3] [4].
