Diese Norm gilt für Ermittlung des Kraftstoffverbrauchs von Lastkraftwagen und Kraftomnibussen nach DIN 70010. Die nach dem Verfahren ermittelten Verbrauchswerte sind reproduzierbar und ergeben vergleichbare Werte. Je nach Fahrweise, Strassen- und Verkehrsverhältnissen, Umwelteinflüssen und Fahrzeugzustand werden sich in der Praxis Werte für den Kraftstoffverbrauch ergeben, die von den nach dieser Norm ermittelten Werten abweichen.
