This standard is included in DIN Handbook 66 and 82. Describes safety requirements on the structure (after construction) of built-in and free-standing kitchen units, work tops and breakfast bars, including those partially constructed with glass. Not applicable to catering equipment and does not cover safety depending on the b building's structure (strength of wall and wall attachments). Intended to prevent serious injury during normal use in addition to normal misuse.
